2025 USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire
USF2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire debuted in 2010 and is a continuation of the highly regarded USF2000 series which ran from 1990 through 2006, launching the careers of many of today’s top drivers. Sanctioned by USAC, the series is the second official step on USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire - a clearly defined path to reach the top echelons of the sport. In addition to providing a vital training ground for rising stars, the series champion will earn a scholarship package to advance to USF Pro 2000, the next step on the ladder system.
Max Garcia, 15, from Miami, Fla., driving for Pabst Racing claimed the 2024 championship title - becoming the youngest USF2000 champion in the modern day ladder system - and a scholarship valued at $458,400 to ensure graduation to USF Pro 2000 in 2025.
Beginning in 2025, USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 will see an increase in horsepower on road and street courses. USF Pro 2000 will enjoy a substantial gain in engine performance with the rev limiter rising from 7850 soft to 8350 – a gain of 500 rpm – affecting the engine’s power output and drivability. Peak horsepower output will be boosted 10 hp at the top end while the bottom end will gain as much as 40 hp culminating in lower lap times, a substantial improvement in acceleration out of slower corners along with an increase in top speeds.
USF2000 will continue with its current rev limiter, but removal of the engine restrictor will result in a 20 hp increase at the top end, an increase in acceleration, with a small gain in top speed, and faster lap times.
HISTORY
USF2000 has served as a formative step for drivers dating back to 1990. Drivers who have honed their skills in the series include Oliver Askew, Michael d'Orlando, Colton Herta, JR Hildebrand, Sage Karam, Kyle Kirkwood, Hunter McElrea, Kiko Porto, Christian Rasmussen, Myles Rowe, Simon Sikes, Parker Thompson and Rinus VeeKay to name a few.
2025 PRIZE MONEY AND AWARDS
The 2025 USF2000 champion will receive a scholarship valued at $405,050* to advance to USF Pro 2000 in 2026. Additional prize money and awards include the Continental Tire Pole Award for each race as well as season-ending awards for Rookie of the Year, Championship Team, Engineer of the Year, Mechanic of the Year, Hard Charger, Move of the Year and Spirit Award.
In total, the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire will distribute over $1.48M* in prize money and awards.
*Minimum as of September 2024. Full 2025 prize money and award packages to be finalized.

CARS | ENGINES
Tatuus Racing, S.p.A is the manufacturer of the race car packages for all three levels of the USF Pro Championships and is world-renowned as a premier builder of formula cars. The USF Pro Championships concept is unique in that the same monocoque and many of the main suspension and bodywork components are common to all three series.
The USF-22 utilizes the same base chassis as USF Juniors and USF Pro 2000 allowing drivers and teams to continue to advance up the world's most complete driver development system with a forward-thinking three-step concept.
The chassis is a full carbon composite and aluminum honeycomb monocoque meeting current FIA safety standards including side impact panels, front and rear impact structures, HANS-compliant INDYCAR head restraint, front and rear wheel tethers and upgraded front bulkhead structure for USA-specific oval racing circuits and a Halo-type device.
The equipment package for all series will remain in competition for at least three more seasons through 2027.
All series are based on the MZR 2.0-liter powerplant built by Elite Engines. USF2000 and USF Juniors are upgraded factory engines and are the same except for restrictor plates and mapping. USF Pro 2000 uses the same block and head casting but is race built with performance pistons, rods, camshafts and billet crankshaft. All engines utilize a fly-by-wire throttle system.
Carl Haas Automobile Imports, Inc. is the exclusive racecar/parts supplier for the series.
VP is the Official Fuel of the USF2000 series.
TIRES
